Delete your Glean account

You can delete your Glean account and its data yourself, from inside the app. It takes about fifteen seconds and does not require contacting us.

From the app

Open Glean and sign in.
Tap the settings icon, then Network Settings.
Scroll to the bottom, to Danger Zone.
Tap Delete Account, type DELETE to confirm, and confirm.

If you signed in more than a few minutes ago, you will be asked to confirm your password or sign in with Google once more. That check is there to stop someone else deleting your account from an unlocked phone.

If you cannot access the app

Email support@glean.app from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my account. We will verify ownership and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Deleted permanently

Your sign-in credentials and account record
Your profile — node name, saved location, dietary preferences
Every surplus item you have cast
Your organization listing and any bed availability you published
Your presence record on the live network

Kept, with your identity removed

Completed handoff records stay on the impact ledger, which is append-only so that donation history cannot be rewritten after the fact. They hold no name, email address or location — only an account identifier that stops corresponding to any person once the account is gone. Messages you sent to another organization remain in that organization's copy of the conversation, the same way a sent email remains in the recipient's inbox.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no recovery — if you sign up again later, it will be a new account.
